What does Nest ERP cost?A Core implementation is R17 500 – R23 000 once-off for implementation and training, plus R4 500 – R6 500 per month for hosting and support — a typical first year of R71 500 – R101 000. These are indicative ranges to assist with budgeting; final pricing depends on scope.
What drives the price up or down?Four things: which modules you switch on, the number of user roles to configure, the level of configuration required, and your integration and support requirements.
How many users are included?Unlimited. The Core Package covers configuration of a Super User profile plus two additional user roles.
Do I have to buy the whole system up front?No. Nest ERP is modular. Start with the modules you need and switch on more as you grow.
Do I have to replace my accounting system?No. Your accounting platform remains the source of accounting truth. Nest ERP runs your operations — purchasing, inventory, production, projects, workflows and reporting — and keeps your books in sync.
Which accounting platforms do you integrate with?Sage Business Cloud Accounting and Xero.
What actually synchronises between the two systems?Everything that matters, and only what matters. Operational transactions sync automatically while financial control stays in your accounting platform, with full transaction sync logging so nothing is overlooked.
Will I end up maintaining two sets of books?No. Nest ERP does not duplicate your accounting system. It adds the operations layer your accounting platform was never built to handle.
How long does implementation take?A Core implementation generally takes 14 – 16 weeks with no customisations included, depending on complexity.
What is included in an implementation?Configuration of your Core modules, a Super User profile plus two additional user roles, and a repository of comprehensive training documents and video tutorials.
What happens after go-live?Ongoing hosting and support are covered by the monthly fee. Support requests are logged through the support desk.
What is Nest ERP built on?ERPNext — a globally used, open-source ERP platform, trusted for scalability and reliability, and localised for South Africa where required.
If ERPNext is open-source, what am I actually paying for?Implementation, configuration, hosting, training, support and ongoing development. The platform licence is not the cost — getting it configured correctly for how your business actually runs is.
Where is my data hosted?On Amazon Web Services in South African data centres.
Is my data backed up?Yes. Automated daily site backups are included as standard.
How is access to data controlled?Permission-based access with audit-ready records. Role-based access control and a full audit trail are available as advanced features.
